Barn Owl Trust Project – R.D.F. Media

‘Wild Thing………..I Love You!’

Nightingale Roofing & Building Services were delighted to be chosen by R.D.F. Media to assist in the relocation of two barn owls from a dilapidated barn  to a new purpose built barn owl sanctuary.

R.D.F. Media are a Channel 4 production company who were in the process of making ten programmes dedicated to assisting endangered species across the United Kingdom. The programmes were presented by Bill Bailey of ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ along with his team of experts.

As we are a local business, operating in the South-West of England, we understand the importance of our due care to the local environment & as the project was local to us, we wanted to be involved.

Amazingly, the project was taking place in Ipplepen, which is home to our offices & workshops.

The stone work was carried out by Riviera Stonemasons & the timber roof & natural slate roof covering was installed by Nightingale Roofing & Building Services.

The new building has seen many other species making home there, such as bats & kestrels.

The photos show the dilapidated barn and the new housing unit.
